Later, I came on the place at the exact time of meeting – I saw no sign of Genesis sound.
“he’s late again!”.
After 30 minutes of patiently waiting, my eyes are starting to fall and blood starting evaporate. Why is he always late? Minutes later, he came out of the nowhere with a wonderfully arranged bouquet of pink roses and a Hersheys Chocolate and almond nuts.
I was stunned with his gift. He was wearing a very formal gesture. White polo with prints paired with elegant jeans and shoes. He hurriedly rushed towards me and hugged me tightly. It was so tight that I could feel his heartbeat. He hugged me like he’d never hugged me before. As he pushed back I saw a tear on his cheek, I felt guilty..
“Bharnutz, thank you for waiting!”
he said.
“huh? So you really made me wait for a long time? Do you care for me?
“I said.
“why do you say that?”
he asked with a faint voice,
“why? You want to know why? It was you who made me do this! You always made me wait”
I replied angrily.
“Bharnutz, there are important things that I made attend to” “more important than attending your date?” “Bharnutz,”
as he said it, I walked out from him.
A red car failed to pull a brake and hit me. Everything happened so fast, I layed down unconscious on a river of blood. Genesis rushed me to the hospital. He was crying while traveling. I've never heard him cry that hard. The last word I heard from him was “sorry”.
“Boy are you her son?
Asked the doctor. “her son?
No! I'm her boyfriend”
Genesis said.
I could not blame the doctor of asking that question because Genesis and I were really have a huge age gap. I am 30-years old and he is eighteen.
“Oh, sorry but your girlfriend lost so much of her blood, she needed to have lots of replacements or else worst thing would probably happen”
the doctor said
“just try mine, maybe it'll work”
Genesis said while wiping his tears.
“Everything depends if her body will accept it – besides even if you have the same type, the compatibility really matters – well, let's five it a try – I'll test your blood – wait for further examinations”
the doctor explained.
It took for the test to be completed. Genesis called his mommy for some moral support. Later, his mother came in a fast walk; she thought that her son was in danger.
“Mommy, my girlfriend just hit by a car – I just had my blood tested because she needed to have a replacement of her lost blood. It's my fault mommy – I hurt her because I was careless “
he cried helplessly.
“Genesis, son she'll be okay --- can you tell me about her? I never thought that you'll be this serious – son, you're getting mature now” his mom said”
“Her name is Carlyn Canoy, she's 12 years older than me, I love her mama so much".
Son; do you know my middle name? – it's Williams and 18 years ago my cousin, Carlyn, showed up on me and gave me her son”told his mom.
“Do you mean that I was that baby?” “Yes!
Genesis – but she did not come back until now she hated that baby because the baby was the result of the evil acts of their Barangay Tanod. She was raped and molested
The doctor appeared in the middle of their discussion.
“Mr. Genesis, the blood test was successful, your blood was really compatible – aren't you really relative? Because the test shows that you are really close – or shall I say it seems that you are her child! But if you're not... then... see you later”.
The next day, the doctor allowed Genesis and his mom to visit me in the room. Genesis was shocked when his mom burs ted to tears.
“Mom, why are you crying?”
asked Genesis.
“It's been a long time since I witnessed her great misfortune. It's been sixteen years since I saw this lovely face of my poor cousin”.
His eyes turned to green as he was really shocked with what her mom said. Tears began to cascade on his cheeks, so fast.
He was in a state of great confusion so he ran outside until he reached an unfamiliar place. He cried loudly
“why on earth I have a mother like her! – I don't want her to be my mother – I just want her to be my wife and a part of my happy future”
he screamed but no one hears it.
In the hospital wing, I slowly opened my eyes, the pain really hurts though. My eyes widened of what I saw, I thought I’ve seen a ghost of my past.
“Auntie Jane. Who told you that I'm here? How are you?”
I asked.
“Don't mind me Carlyn, don't you wanna ask about the baby you left me! So, how are you feeling? I'm happy seeing you so beautiful right now, I hope it will do well if I tell you this, your son brought me here”
she said.
“what? That bastard son of a monster brought you here? And how the hell did he know me?
“Oh! I thought you would be happy upon hearing this but I guess you've never forgiven your son. He as nothing to do with what his father did to you” “My life has been shattered because of him, because I bear a monster child – the child of a rapist” I told. “But you are happy with him right now, It's destiny that leads you two, to meet each other in crossroads”. “What do you mean?”
I was confused.
“You failed to give me the name of your child after you left. So, I named him after you father – Genesis”.
The revelation was a real shock for me. Tears fell down so fast. I clinched my fist and started to howl in the hospital. Everything I see, I threw it way. The feeling was a total disaster until the doctor came and injected a medicine that made me calm and put me to sleep.
I was released from the hospital two months later – and two months then, I've never seen any shadow of Genesis. I've lived alone after Genesis left. Until one day, Genesis came into my crib bringing along with his trunk. I wonder where he is going.
“Carlyn, my mommy Jane said that I should live with you and besides you are my real mother”. He said while his head face down. “Oh, so you already know my freaking past?”
I did accept him but treated him the way I was treated by my parents. I let him feel being kicked-out and most hurtful is being discriminated.
“Mommy, why are you doing this to me? Aren't you happy that we are together now as family? How I wished to have a true family. “Happy!? How can I be happy if you are here on earth? The more I see you the more I hated the world.
Genesis have sacrificed living with me for months, he never answered me back of even laid a weighing hand on me. I wonder how he had taken all the discrimination, sufferings, and pains I’ve caused him. He suffered so much until everything come to an end.
It was late afternoon on February 18, the “Day Before Pisces” I was heading home from work.
As I opened the door, the scene I saw took my breath for a moment and I screamed because I was horrified with what I saw. Genesis is dead – he strangled himself at the corner of the living room. I want to come near him but my knees got numb, I couldn't walk. He looked peaceful. He was wearing the same polo he wore when we had our last moment as lovers – the moment I got struck by a car. Upon seeing this. Cold tears shed upon my cheeks.
Police came over and investigated the incident.
“Mam, there was no flaw on the crime scene. Every detail showed that he committed suicide. Maybe you might want to read this. I found this on the pocket of the victim”.
The police then handed me the paper.
Mommy Carlyn,
I know all of these days you've been carrying the heaviest burden because of my existence. It must have been hurtful to you that I am your son and not your husband-to-be. I thought our age gap of twelve years has proven that love does not choose ages, however I was wrong. We were wrong. I seek for you many years – I wanted to know why you left me and why do you hate me? But it doesn't matter now. All I want is to have you on my side mommy. And on my search, I realized that it was really hard for you to see me alive. And I am Sorry!
Did you know why I was late during our last date? Its because I got a message telling that my mother has been found and I had a conversation with the person who reported it to me. It was good news for me so I grabbed the chance to know everything about you. Carlyn, I was busy finding my mom. I thought she could never be found anymore – then all of the sudden I just realized that my mother is my girlfriend. All I ever wanted in my life is to have a happy family. Its our destiny.
If God permits me to be reborn, I want you on my second life to be out of my life – even if I'm blind or disabled still I don’t want you to be my mom. If God truly wants us to be together as lovers again, then I would truly be happy to love you once more. But I see you now as a loving mother – all I want in life is to make you the happiest woman alive.
If taking my life is the only thing that would make you very happy forever then I would die to make you smile. I LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT... THANK YOU for being a friend, a lover and a loving mother to me
